Clonie Gowan | Clonie came to national attention when she won the World Poker Tour “Ladies Night” event in 2003. That particular event was fascinating to watch as it gave us all an insight on the ladies game that is seldom seen. I found it to be compelling television as did many other poker players around the world because that broadcast was at that time the highest rating WPT show ever broadcast.
After that Clonie became something of a fixture on our television sets either as a player in events such as the Ultimate Poker Challenge on ESPN or as a commentator for the Ultimate Poker Championship.
Clonie writes regular features for “Allin” magazine and is a partner of a poker school teaching successful poker strategies for cash tournament games. Clonie also devotes her time to non-profit organisations such as the United States Poker Association. |
