| One time New York stock trader, Erik began his tournament gaming experiences not with poker but on the backgammon circuit (yes, there is one). When not trading stocks on Wall Street he played poker. His skill at the game was such that it made more sense to quit stock trading and take up poker full time which is exactly what he did moving to Las Vegas to pursue his new career. |
His first attempt at the WSOP resulted in a second place finish which few players of any calibre can claim. Erik is one of the all time greatest players holding no less than seven WSOP bracelets. He is in the all time top 10 money list for both the WSOP and Bellagio hotel in Las Vegas. Despite this he can be found regularly on Full Tilt Poker playing low limit Omaha and chatting to fellow players online. Erik was playing online the day before I wrote this and while Omaha is not my game (too many outs for my liking) there was a queue of 7 people waiting to get onto the full table to learn from him. In our opinion, few people could be better teachers.
