On a rush Posted on: 06-24-2007 @ 02:47 am |

Sorry it's been a while since my last update, things have been pretty busy around here. Unfortunately I haven't had much time to play poker in the past couple of months, however the games I have played have all worked out extremely well. I've managed to win 6 of the last 8 WOPPT tournaments and also continue with a very healthy profit in other online games for the past two months. Lately I have been playing mainly heads up games, both on Titan and Full Tilt, I started this as a bit of practice for late tournament play, and also due to time constraints, however have found that I'm making a very nice profit from these games. Right now I'm mainly sticking to $5 and $10 games and have achieved an average of just over 50% for the $5 games and just under 80% for the $10 games. There is quite a big difference in my results between the two levels, I put this down to a number of factors, firstly I've played a vast majority of my games at the $10 level, so the $5 figure is on a much smaller sample, also I normally use the $5 game as a warm up, before playing several $10 games, so I think a combination of not taking the "warm up" game as seriously, coupled with the type of people playing the $5 level probably being a little more willing to put all their money in more often with marginal hands and occasionally getting lucky. Unfortunately I haven't had the time to play too many sit n go's or tournaments, however am planning on a trip to the new Poker Dome on the QLD/NSW border, they have some nicely structured $50 and $100 tournaments every weekend which I am keen to check out.
