Post subject: Two Pair Each, Who Wins & Why

Hi Everyone

I'm new to this forum, took a bit of searching to find a decent one through Goggle.

We had this situation a few nights ago and i need some verification on the outcome.

I had K/9 mate had 9/7

With a board of:

6/7/9/8/8

I'm sure i should have one with 9's and 8's over he's 9's and 7's, i'm sure i saw a similar situation on TV and the commentator said one player had a higher two than the player because player 2 couldn'y use the pair of 8's cos he already ahd a pair of 7's, is this right or does the 9's and 8's win and why eiter way please.

Regards

I am not an expert but as far as I can see,

you had: K9988

he had: 99887

So you should win with the K kicker. Best to get a second opinion from the webmaster.
