| probaly a very stupid question but here goes, the hand is dealt out and we will say there is 3 people in the first bets 20 the second folds and the third sees the 20(just calls)can the first person bumb his own bet??? i did not think so i thought once he is called it goes to the next round. |

| That's correct - once the first person has bet and all others or some others just call then the next card is dealt. If player 3 in this case raises then player 1 can re-raise once before the next card is out. |

| Can the person with high blind raise the bet if all the players just checked? |

| Hi Texas - welcome to the board. If you are the big blind you are last to act in the first round of betting pre-flop. At this stage if your opponents all call the big blind you have the opportunity to raise it prior to the flop. |
