Post subject: Credit cards

When you pay for chips with a credit card, does it register as a cash withdrawal or a purchase?

Good question - and Acelogic is correct. When using your card the transaction is treated as a purchase and not a cash advance. You can also use debit cards that display the Visa or Mastercard symbol. Winnings are posted back to your card or taken out in some other form (your preference). Amounts debited from your cards do not appear under the name of the poker room but under the company that operate the room. In Party Poker's case for example they appear as "iglobalmedia". Cool

i never withdrawed so i don't know.. we from serbia had problem with that.. (it was really hard to get the credit card, but i did it Smile ) .. but those credit cards we get are VISA (but they are not accepted everywhere).. so i used my card to deposit to click2pay and moneybookers and from there i deposit to poker rooms...

i made a good amount on poker rooms.. but money is still there.. i didn't withdraw.. but i need to do in the next week or two (holiday money Smile)

how long it takes to recieve the money from the poker rooms?

Depends on how you request a withdrawal. You don't have to deposit back to your credit card. You can ask for the money to be transfered to any bank account anywhere in the world. There is a charge of $20-$40 for that but if it is your only option then you can do it. It takes about 3 days for the withdrawal to arrive using this option.
