Post subject: Our 10th Texas Hold-em Poker Freeroll Tournament

I'm pleased to announce our 10th monthly $1000 freeroll poker tournament.

The game will take place at Titan Poker on Saturday 27th May 06 at 7pm Eastern Standard Time (New York Time). This tournament is exclusive to us and free to site members. Please go to the Freeroll Tournament page from the main menu on the left blocks and follow the joining instructions.

For our 10th Freeroll we have introduced a points system to control entry. All members will automatically earn points when they login to this site and post in our Forum or our Blog. Points will be awarded as follows:

5 points for a Forum Post
20 points for a Blog entry

We have given the correct amount of points to all members who have contributed forum or blog entries to the site in the past. You can see the amount of freeroll points you have on the 'Your Account' page accessible from the main menu. Freeroll points are exchangable for entry to the above tournament which will continue to be completely free to members. Entry to our 10th tournament will cost 5 Freeroll Points (a single useful post in the forum).

Please note I expect this change will dramatically reduce the number of participants to the next Freeroll. Not only will there be fewer players but there will be fewer sitouts (people who register in the hope that they make the prizes without playing) so your chances of making the prizemoney are greatly increased. Please visit the Freeroll Instructions section of the site for further details and to register for the next tournament. To ensure only site supporting members gain entry we will send out an email containing the joining password 24 hours before the match is due to start. The password will only be mailed to members with 5 or more Freeroll Points. Finally if fewer than 20 players register by the start time then the tourney will not take place.

I hope you find the new rules acceptable, and continue to support our efforts to improve our quality poker community.

Look forward to seeing many of you at the game.

Rules... ack... what's this world coming to???

But seriously meeting the qualifications are so trivial that anyone unable to fulfill them doesn't deserve to be playing anyway. Good plan. See you at the table.

Yes, I also think those rules are fair, 5 points per game is very little compaired to having to pay for the buyin out of your poker account,Very fair.

Welcome aboard Sandar - next freeroll should be quiet due to my new entry rules outlined at the top.
