In recent memory I'm dealt AA and am allin preflop against a drunk with K3 offsuit. No limit game the pot was for just short of $2,000.

Board comes out K3749 and I lose $1,000 to 2 pair.

don't know if it counts as bad beat but the guy that lost hung around for nealy two hours bitching.

I had AA in a pot limit game and bet the pot, guy called. flop was KKA and again - bet the pot and he called, 4th street was a 2 and I bet the pot and he called. River was my 4th Ace and I went all in and again he called. he then showed KK in the hole and screamed and screamed and cussed when he saw 4 Aces against him.

claimed I misplayed the hand and should have folded after the flop. been a year and he still immediately leaves any room when I show up.

That's really funny Starkey. Yes there's no question that's a bad beat. Here's your opponent with Quad 4's and you take him out with Quad Aces. Lol. I would be very very unhappy if that happenned to me. In fact if that happenned on a bad beat table at Party Poker you would both qualify for a jackpot of hundreds of thousands for that.

Post subject: Bad Beats...I've known a few

I just heard of a guy that flopped quads (6s under and flop 686) guy went all in infront of him and of course he called. his oponent turned over 8s under (full house). Needless to say he though he was the bad beat... Turn came K and river came 8. Evil or Very Mad Evil is right!. I've had a few but nothing as wierd as the last two tournaments I've entered (second was the last freeroll! on Titan). I'm an OK player, not the best though (definitely rely on a little luck) but the last two tourney's I've been knocked out with the same hand AGAINST THE SAME HAND...let me explain. Limp in with Q suited Pair my Q in the flop, slow play, turn comes Q, Somewhat sizable bet, get a call, river makes an A high straight for the caller, but I go all in...not necessarily a bad beat (as I should have reckognized the straight possibility existed) ...but the guy's shouldn't have followed with only a draw. Life suck's when the river is against you.!!!!

I had a similar one royal....not for the major bucks though lol. had pocket 4's in SB and just call hits my set on flop Ah 4c 2h I bet a little wary of straight possible he calls, turn comes nothing major 9 or 10 Ibet he calls river comes 4h, woo hoo i think I bet.. he goes all in I call, he has straight flush. Not so much a bad beat but a hurried call I didn't even consider the straight flush 5h 3h, only straight or a flush. Oh well, we live and learn.

I have a new Bad Beat experience - it happened to me during my own tournament the 11th $1000 Freeroll (ok so I can't win a prize like the rest of you but I can try to save some of my money).

I'm up against AANuts and we have equal chips, more than most. I have AJ suited hearts - not a great hand but what the heck. Flop comes 5J6 with the 5 and 6 both hearts. Obviously I'm very happy with top pair, ace kicker and A high flush draw. Betting ensues, I come over the top allin and AANuts calls. He has 1010 so I'm pleased to see him dominated. Turn is a 5 and river comes the 10 of Hearts. Sure I made my A high flush but with runner runner he makes a full house!

I go out in 160th which is a fine example of negative variance. Gotta love it. At least in my consolation I see AANuts went on to take second place which is comforting.

Not quite my Party Poker Cruise vacation lost to a spectacular out on the river (see above) but that's poker!

Yes I was on the same table and saw that happen webmaster. You were very very unlucky there. Had the turn AND the river been almost any other card, you would have won.

playing in a live ring game was dealt pocket aces I make raise 5x big blind from under the gun 2nd guy on my left flat calls and everyone else folds, board comes A-2-7 I bet the size of the pot he raises all-in I call and he shows pocket 2's turn no help, river deuce. I cashed out right away still won, but was so upset I didn't play for a week.

I don't think i will ever forget these two. In the first one i had AA and bet it pretty hard. The guy just to my left goes all in. When it comes back around to me it is just him and me so i call him and since he had more chips it put me all in. I turn over AA and he turns over AQ offsuit. The flop comes A Q 4, the turn is Q and the river is Q. Ouch.
In the second one i have KK guy to my right bets about 4x bb i raise to about 8x bb. He comes back at me with an all in bet of 250,000 chips I call him all in again. He has QQ , flop is nothing , turn is nothing and the river is a Q.
