Post subject: bad beats

KJ hearts and flop was 10 9 8 hearts oponent had A hearts 2 spade and stayed with my pot bet. nothing on 4th street but he went all in and caought a small heart on river to win. then bragged on how well he played the hand.

put me on UN tilt and I folded several winning hands playing too tight.

wish I was better at recognizing other folks winners.

i flopped a full house during my big blind with 8 3 and made small bets eacht time till the river. he called with king somthing and caught runner runner K's to habe a bigger full house. i looked up the odds after i think it was around 1% or less. Very Happy I was frustrated.

are these bad beats or do I just play poorly. Played 4 sit n go $20 on Ultimate Bet yesterday and went out on
1. AA floped AC and 2 little hearts. two in front of me go all in and I follow feeling like it's a great day. river gave one of them a boat with the two little cards and the other guy caught his flush KQ high.

2. KK flop is K JJ river is A for other guys AJ offsuit boat.

3. KQ spades as big blind. stay for 2X raise. flop is J 10 8 spades. River is 2 spades and the guy with As Kc has the higher flush.

4. 3 straight hands of QQ, KK, JJ and winner has A 2 suited and hits A on river. then lose to pocket AA and last lose to AQ offsuit and Q on river. all of these I had high pair possible on board until the river.

it was a bad day.

The first examples are seriously bad beats. What matters when judging these situations after the fact is who had the best hand at the point of the allin. In situations 1, 2 and 3 that would have been you so you got unlucky.

Hard to make a call about the cards you played under 4, but if I'd suffered 1-3 then I'd be on tilt and my judgement would be way off. Same may have happenned to you here compounding your problem.

I'm back. 6 9 suited as big blind. all check. flop is 993 and guy to right raises and I raise back. He's been playing big pairs and two face cards all day and is pretty tight. fourth street is 5. he bets and i go all in over him for a little more that his whole stake. he calls and hits a 3 on the river to go with pp 3s and a boat.

Does anyone play 6 card hold-em? I'm starting to really fear the river.

finally on the good end of a bad beat. Had 9 3 offsuit and not quite $20 at the table. Absolutely going to fold. Daughter walks in from school and accidently hit the call button instead of fold. look up and two players had gone all in before me!!!! oh yuck and why isn't there a redo button!!!???

first guy has KK and next has AA and the flop is 3 3 3 yep wrong button, really bad hand and hit quads.

both guys reloaded and were on tilt till they ran out again.

I have been really carefull about where my mouse is ever since!!

Love it, and the best part about that story is that there's probably one of these bad beats earlier that says "you'll never guess what just happenned to me, I go allin with AA and this guy calls with like J3 and he got 3333J !
