Agree with the comments and am trying to solve the issue. One thing I know is that the Freeroll Points system I've developed here works really well. Far fewer sitouts last time than the previous 9 freerolls, and more importantly for me I get a busy forum! |

I wish folks would only sign up to play in a freeroll only if they intend to play. Some forums put the passwd in 2 hours before the event to help with the sitouts. There are a lot less sitouts, but still some. Some ppl sign up and then forget all about the tourney.
Hopefully some day someone will come up with a way to stop the sitouts... |

There are both pro and cons to this. At first I didn't like the idea about no shows, yes if there were a couple of other players they would try to outraise each other to steal the blinds. I stopped playing on sites that didn't remove the no shows and found that I was deleting my playing field. Yes, it would be great to have all the players there. But after a while playing with no shows I have found that it dosn't bother me anymore. If there is just another player and me at the table I will ask to take turns stealing the blinds, if the player dosn't co-operated I will try to bust him out. I was in a tourney a few wks ago and was the only player at the table, rest were no shows. Needless to say when I was moved to the final table I had a wad of chips and was able to finish in the money. Just the other day I was listed in a tourny for Titan but also was playing in another tourney on another ipoker site and couldn't open up Titan. So when I was busted out of the first touney, I opened Titan and found I still had some chips and started playing. Needless to say I won that tournament even thouugh I was late getting into it. So, no shows mean free chips if played right. Issuing the password a few hours before the touney seems like the best way to stop the no shows. Some fourms list the password a wk in advance and I found these are the ones with the most no shows. |

Maybe the sit-out like to annoy you and when he comes at the table he will take all your chips..But the tourney with a lot of sit-outs doesn`t let you play fast .. |

| I totally agree with the sitout situation that we have that our members register and don't show up to play. Its a waste of time and gives other players on the tables with sitouts an advantage by stealing the blinds for free.... We must do something about this... |

| Take it from me as someone who's organised 13 freeroll tournaments, sitouts are an annoying pain that we can't do anything about. You can lead a horse to water but you can't make em play. |

Raise the sitouts, and they have to fold, Ive seen people check to them and the sitout ends up winning the hand , whats with that?

I really enjoy playing tables with many sitouts and only 2 or 3 people playing. Why? When I play poker I only play MTTs. So the only chance to improve my short-handed skills are tables like this or final tables. Because it is expensive to make mistakes at the final-table (particular in heads-up) I prefer to make them on "sitout-tables" trying out some new moves here including even cheap stupid-looking calls just to see if I have read my opponent the right way.
Good luck at the tables.

theres nothing worse than sitting at a table by yourself. although at first you might think 'yes im clearing up' but after 10 mins of the small blinds it really starts to get annoying.
of with thier heads i say |
