I have been playing poker online for a little over a yr. I believe that there are three items that will help with the learning curve of playing poker. I recommend the following,
Learn the 2 - 4 rule. Its a rule for calculating pot odds.
Read a good poker pook. I recommend Harrington on holdem. He goes over alot of information. He will go over a specific topic and then put you in that senario. His second volume is also very good. He plays a conservative style but discuses other styles as well.
Texas holdem hand calculator. Its a free program that you can enter specific senarios and see what the odds of winning a hand , pre flop, flop, turn or river. I like to use it to see the odds of various preflops.
Hope this was helpful |

| Good advice Jimel. I may suggest a good hand calculator on this site shortly. Do realise though they are no substitute for situational perception. Odds are a part of it but there's so much more to this game. |
