Post subject: Flop misdeal- flop presentation

We have a guy in our weekly game that has a habit of pre-dealing the flop, turn, and river...(all face down).I guess to save time, I dono.....but here is what happened......

The player that does this "pre-dealing" of the cards was the dealer and involved in a all-in showdown. after he was called, both players revealed their hands. By accident, he thru in the 3 "flop" cards in the muck pile and delt the flop out of the remaining deck. He was beat, and was "knocked out". One of the other players realized what had happened and mentioned it and the "dealer" declared a mis-deal and pushed to "split the pot". It really upset the player with the winning hand. I aurgued that the hand should stand. Two hands later...same players...all-in...and the "dealer wins with a pair og kings against a pair of queens. The losing player got really upset because he felt that the other guy should have been put out of the game earlier. He left the game in digust and left over $9000 in chips on the table(we start out with 10K). I still believe that the mis-delt flop shpuld have stand. what to you think........????

I personally think the flop should have stood. After all noone objected during the hand and the cards could have gone either way.

Thats what I figgered.....problem is, this weekly game is usually the same players and it seems everytime problems arise, it due to a misdelt hand. We people deal, they need to pay closer attention to what they are doing. I found this from the "rule book" :

If the Flop needs to be redealt because the cards were prematurely Flopped before the betting was complete, or the Flop contained too many cards, the Board Cards are mixed with the remainder of the deck. The Burn Card remains on the table. After shuffling, the dealer cuts the deck and deals a new Flop without burning a card.

Thats pretty much what happened.....The guy was beat with the river card which was not replaced.

This kinds thing causes problems between friends.
