Post subject: who wins all in hand?

hello I have a ? I was playing hold um with three people tonight
on one hand I went all in for $4 every one covered that bet and so
it was a side pot. the betting went on between the other tree people
two out of the three folded leaving me and one guy left. when he
showed his hand he just had a Q high nothing else but that queen.
I had 9 of dimond and a 9 hearts ! who wins the pot here ? do i win
both the side pot and the pot?

In this instance you would win $16 and the remainder of the pot would go to the guy with who was left with the Queen.

As the all in person all you can do is win same as your stake from everyone else. There were 4 people in the pot so the main pot was yours ($16). The side pot is not contested by you as you had insufficient funds, and the others dropped out. By default that goes to the person who was left, the guy with the Queen.
